Listen: Yellow Ostrich — “Ghost”

Yellow Ostrich are dishing out more new material, with the eponymous track “Ghost” streaming now from their forthcoming EP.
The song is sparsely decorated with light, click-clacking percussion, simple, harrowing chords on the organ and a heart-on-his-sleeve vocal performance. Perhaps an apparition does loom in or around the sonic body that is “Ghost.”
Alex Schaaf, the group’s anchor and main songwriter, has created a number of albums under the Yellow Ostrich moniker. The most recent was 2012′s Strange Land, issued by Barsuk Records.
