Bat for Lashes’ “Siren Song” is very special.  Natasha Khan’s voice commands the mood of the song. The thick of emotion lies inside the lyrics, “’til the siren comes calling, calling / it’s driving me evil, evil.” Khan pulls those lyrics across with a sultriness only matched by its own agony–the song of a siren who realizes she will cause your impending death, “’cause I’m evil, evil.” It’s powerful, dark, and sexy.
