Listen: The Darkness — “Everybody Have a Good Time”

The Darkness have revealed the first single “Everybody Have a Good Time” off their upcoming record Hot Cakes. The album drops on August 21 in North America courtesy of Wind-Up records.
The song is characteristically high-octane, fusing Justin Hawkins’ soaring falsetto voice with enthusiastic choruses and a triumphant guitar solo. According to the singer’s advice, “Take off your thinking cap, and listen to your heart.” That is his two cents on their brand of rock ‘n’ roll.
Hot Cakes will feature ten original tracks as well as a cover of Radiohead’s “Street Spirit (Fade Out),” which apparently has been one of the band’s favorite live renditions for years.
