Mono have debuted a new single, “Dream Odyssey”, which is due to appear on their upcoming LP For My Parents.
This track triumphs with the spectacular, cinematic style the Japanese instrumental band has become known for. Infusing the material with rock and classical influences, they explore emotionally-charged valleys and peaks. The eight minute track does indeed feel like a dream odyssey.
For My Parents is Mono’s first album since 2009′s Hymn to the Immortal Wind. They collaborated with the Wordless Music Orchestra during the recording of the new record; it is set to be released on September 4 courtesy of Temporary Residence LTD.
