Menomena have released yet another track from their upcoming LP, Moms. The name of the latest is “Pique”.
The song begins in subdued fashion, with its emotional pull coming mostly from the sentimental lyrics. Their art rock leanings are exemplified by their willingness to dabble in strange transitions and progressions, despite maintaining a palpable melodic center.
“Capsule” and “Heavy Is As Heavy Does” are two additional tunes from Moms available for public listening. The new record comes out Sept. 18 courtesy of Barsuk Records.
