Listen: Lee Ranaldo Band and J Mascis — “Albatross”

Lee Ranaldo (of Sonic Youth) and J Mascis (of Dinosaur Jr.) have teamed up to do a rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “Albatross.” Their contribution will be released on the tribute album Just Tell Me That You Want Me.
The song – which is an instrumental cut at that – shows the two veteran guitarists bringing their signature styles of buzzing, distorted guitar to the mix.
Other artists with covers featured on the record include Tame Impala, Lykke Li, and Craig Wedren with St. Vincent. The album is set to launch on August 14. Listen to their “Albatross” cover in its entirety below.
