Singer and guitarist Corin Tucker - founding member of the influential act Sleater-Kinney - has a new song up from the Corin Tucker Band.
The track “Groundhog’s Day” is a preview for what is to come from their album Kill My Blues, which comes out September 18 via Kill Rockstars.
This is her first record since 2010′s 1,000 Years. The song itself starts in light and bouncy fashion, spearheaded by Tucker’s playful voice throwing around her words. The chorus amps up the energy, giving listeners a dance-able punk anthem with some angular guitar and drums.
Until the new LP arrives, go ahead and listen to the track over at Pitchfork.
