The community comes together tonight to celebrate the lives of the Cafe Racer victims and to raise money for the “Victims of the Cafe Racer Shooting Memorial Fund.” The evening’s talented performers are donating their performances. Local businesses and artists have donated goods and services that will be raffled off throughout the event. All proceeds will go directly to the fund and cash donations are also welcome. In addition to raising money, this event will be a celebration of community, a place to come together to show love and appreciate the amazing communities that make Seattle such a wonderful city.

The constantly evolving art-punk band Liars return to Seattle on Sunday, for what’s sure to be another raucous and endlessly entertaining performance. Fresh off the release of their newest and critically acclaimed album WIXIW, Angus Andrew and company no doubt have a bucketful of new material to showcase.

Liars are a rare breed; a band that can confidently explore new ground time and time again without sounding over-extended. They are a band who can make consistently dense, mind-bending albums that sound dynamic and visceral live. They’ve outlasted all the fads and continue to chug along in their own, ostentatious fashion.

Supporting the group will be local fiends Grave Babies and the talented Canadian hip-hop dudeCadence Weapon. Cadence Weapon was just in town supporting his friends Japandroids, but if you didn’t get enough the first time (I know I didn’t) here’s your second opportunity.
