Lana Del Rey Says She Probably Won’t Be Writing Another Album

Is Lana Del Rey caving to public pressure?  The young, controversial singer told Vogue in a recent interview that she probably won’t be writing any more albums following debut Born To Die, a record which continues to top UK album sales charts.  Del Rey claims the inspiration behind her first album was a past break-up, and “the record is about being faithful in [her] mind to the memory of a particular person.”  She also adds, “everything I wanted to say, I’ve said already.”

Sounds reasonable, but we can’t help but suspect that Del Rey’s apparent resignation is due to the divisive heat she received following her disastrous SNL performance.  Who can blame her for wanting to go out on top? [FactMag]
