With Lana Del Rey, it’s a breaking news story a day. Ever since her live performance debut on SNL, the 25-year old singer songwriter has been called a disappointment, spoofed in a SNL skit, claimed she would never write another album again, supposedly canceled her fall tour due to public pressure, and then refuted the tour cancellation. Whew, that’s a lot of drama. Lucky for the Born to Die singer, she’s caught a couple breaks recently, with a well-received performance on David Letterman, and debuting on the Billboard charts at #2, having sold 77,000 copies of her album. Del Rey’s good streak continued yesterday with a live, jam-packed performance at Amoeba Records in Los Angeles. Peep some videos below, and head to Stereogum for some photos!
