Kill Rock Stars Announce Survival Knife’s “Divine Mob”/”Snakebit”

Timothy Grisham / September 5, 2013

Portland’s Kill Rock Stars have announced the new 7″ from Olympia, Wash. based Survival Knife, “Divine Mob”/”Snakebit”.

The release is a return of sorts, one half of Survival Knife previously released music on Kill Rock Stars (then an Olympia based label) with their band Unwound, as well as on the defunct subsidiary 5RC as the Replikants.

Survival Knife is Justin Trosper and Brandt Sandeno (both formerly of classic 90’s KRS band UNWOUND), Kris Cunningham (also of Western Hymn) and Meg Cunningham. Since their inception they have played shows in the Pacific Northwest with Metz, Bitch Magnet, Ceremony, Kinski, Hungry Ghost, Federation X, and Pinback. They toured the west coast with Modest Mouse in April 2013.

2013 has been a busy year for Survival Knife, beyond a slew of shows they released “Traces of Me” on Sub Pop back in March.

Check out a short run of dates, below the stream of “Divine Mob”, with Orbits.
