Kid From Placebo Album Cover Plans To Sue

Placebo‘s 1996 eponymous debut has a cover featuring 12 year old David Fox, appearing mopey and disheveled in exaggerated fashion. Now, 16 years later, he is suing the alternative rock band for damages.
Fox claims that appearing on the cover resulted in severe teasing, leading to social ostracization at school. Eventually, he dropped out and argues it “ruined his life.”
The now 28 year old will be filing a lawsuit against Placebo sometime next month. According to Riverman Management, the agency that represents the group, the man’s proceedings should be aimed at Placebo’s record label rather than the band itself.
