Updated: K Records Announces New Jeremy Jay Album

Jeremy Jay

Long-running, fiercely independent, Olympia record label K Records has announced a new album by Jeremy Jay.

After a near three year hiatus Jeremy Jay returns to following up his 2011 indie-pop effort Dream Diary. The songwriter recently reemerged with a new digital single “Covered In Ivy” b/w “Situations Said” showing off a decidedly darker side. The new material shows a total embrace of a ‘80s 4AD influenced European definition of style.

This new brand of pastiche will carry over to Jeremy Jay’s recently announced forthcoming full-length Abandoned Apartments which will see light November 12th via his long time home on K Records. The record is a product of various self-produced recording sessions split between Paris, London and Olympia; which shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone familiar with K or Jay.

Check out the album’s tracklist following the song “Covered in Ivey” below.

Also, bonus points for anyone who can find the Jeremy Jay reference in a not-too-old iTunes commercial.

Updated: Due to a manufacturing error the release date for the new Jeremy Jay album has been moved to October 1.
