Jay-Z and Nas Perform “Glory” Live at Carnegie HallPosted by Suzi Pratt
Jay-Z made musical history yet again on Monday, February 6, becoming the first rapper to perform at New York’s famed concert venue Carnegie Hall. For this special charity event, the Brooklyn MC brought in guest stars Nas, The Roots, Alicia Keys, and a 30-piece backing orchestra. He also performed for the first time ever his single “Glory” dedicated to his daughter Blue Ivy Carter. Last night’s show was the first of two benefits in support of United Way of New York City and The Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, coming not long after Jay-Z was criticized by The Daily for being uncharitable with his billions.
