It’s no secret that Seattle loves Grouplove, and Grouplove loves Seattle. The five members of Grouplove are from various locations (Brooklyn, LA, and even London) but somehow keep finding themselves back in our city to continuely blast us with their catchy and energetic pop off of their debut full-legnth Never Trust A Happy Song, released last year. They’ve headlined The Vera Project, Neumos, and even taken the stage at 107.7 The End’s Deck The Hall Ball last winter. On Wednesday, Grouplove will be playing their biggest headlining venue here to date, and it’s headed towards being a sold out event. If you’re on the fence about getting your ticket to the show, have a reminder listen to their single “Colours,” and have a look at which fantastic opener they’ll be bringing with them to share the stage, below:

Though British band Alt-J have been making their way along the east coast with a slew of headlining dates at tiny venues (think smaller than The Crocodile), this Wednesday, as openers for Grouplove at The Moore, the quartet will be making their official live debut in Seattle. The Moore is probably one of the largest venues the band has ever played, and with Alt-J’s debut album An Awesome Wave, expect the Leeds-based band to be selling out theaters even larger on their own in no time. An Awesome Wave is a stunning, exceptional first look into what Alt-J’s capable of stylistically, including singles like “Fitzpleasure” and “Tessellate,” which have already earned the fresh-eyed band their first Mercury Prize nomination. If there’s one band to keep your eyes on and your ears privy to at this moment, it’s Alt-J – get to The Moore early, and don’t miss Seattle’s first opportunity to watch this impressive, huge-potential-band live.
