Local hip-hop artist Grieves is putting out his third album Together/Apart via Rhymesayers/ILG on June 21, 2011. This highly anticipated album is yet another collaboration he has done with the incredibly talented Budo. The collaborative efforts between these two artists really showcase and highlight each of their individual talents as well as fabricate an incredible hip-hop duo.
Grieves has released videos for two singles off Together/Apart; Lightspeed and Bloody Poetry. Lightspeed is a phenomenal introspective look into how fast you grow up and is like the listener is reading Grieves‘ personal journal while catching pieces from different times in his life. Bloody Poetry has a truly artistic video that is dark but thought-provoking.
Starting June 6 Grieves will be releasing exclusive content from the new upcoming album every day until June 21 for Facebook fans only. Not only will fans get a first-hand look into the making of the album but they will also be able to hear clips on the 16 new tracks before everyone else. Together/Apart is available for pre-order on iTunes right now.
Benjamin Laub (Grieves) put out his debut album back in 2007 and only in a few short years has he grown as an artist. Laub has just recently finished up with a 40+ show tour and is about to embark on the Vans Warped Tour starting June 24 where he and Budo will perform at every single Vans Tour show which is approximately 43 shows. The duo will be at the Gorge on August 13 with the rest of the Vans Warped Tour gang. You can view the rest of the dates below.
