Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong’s Hospitalization Cancels Show

Billie Joe Armstrong, lead singer and guitarist for Green Day, was taken to the hospital last night for undisclosed reasons. The hospitalization has caused the group to cancel their performance in Bologna, Italy.

The other band members – bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool – issued a short video statement depicting their regret and frustration at having to terminate the show last minute. They said, “we are beyond devastated and will make it up to you when we come back next summer.
