The Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin has officially announced that they will be moving their location from Waterloo Park to Auditorium Shores, which is located on Lady Bird Lake in the grand ol’ state of Texas. FFFF has been at Waterloo for five years now, so it is with a bit of a heavy heart that they will be moving the indie music fest to a new location for 2011. However, the move to Auditorium Shores will definitely be a blessing in disguise seeing how it will double the attendance for FFFF and also allow more vendors and shows.
Fun Fun Fun Fest said that they are hoping with the larger capacity of Auditorium Shores that they will be able to offer more shopping and food options, on-site activities, and shows that will include music and comedic performances.
The festival has been known as a phenomenal stepping-stone for many underground and indie artists and there is no doubt that the 6th annual FFFF will be any different. Previous years’ lineups include the likes of Spoon, MGMT, The Octopus Project, Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s, Suicidal Tendencies, RJD2, Deerhunter, Danzig, Crystal Castles, and many more. FFFF gives the audience options, to say the least.
Fun Fun Fun Fest will be held at Auditorium Shores in Austin, TX on November 5-6, 2011. Pre-sale tickets will be happening this month to members only so hurry up and register on FFFF’s website! The 2011 lineup has not been announced but keep your eyes peeled here at SSG Music for that information.
Below are some videos from 2010 FFFF, there really is something for everyone at the fest!
