Franz Ferdinand, Carnivores at the Showbox at The Market August 9Posted by Jessica Kaminski
They’re back. It has been more than 3 years since Franz Ferdinand has hit the road in the United States and they have returned with a some juicy new material in tow. They might be slinging new material, but at the core, Franz Ferdinand is still making music that makes girls dance. Their catchy New Wave dance punk is infectious in all the best ways. Thursday night will have the boys on their best behavior and the Showbox will be ablaze with booty shakin’ dance pop.
The band originally formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 2002 and have had a smattering of hits and some fancy commercial success — they are one of the few Scottish bands to be nominated for a Grammy. With the rubber to the road, Franz Ferdinand is primed to win over American audiences once again with their swell sounds and Scottish good looks.
Atlanta band Carnivores will be opening the show.
