Thanks to a relentless amount of Seattle rain and PNW gloom, pale skin and fruitless frowns are a-plenty. Thankfully, the Southern California band, The Mowgli’s, have arrived; equipped with a So-Cal sound that warms the soul like an eighty degree sun. Comparable to Arcade Fire or Broken Social Scene, The Mowgli’s are spreading their message of “universal love and togetherness” while they complete their current tour and lay down the finishing touches on their debut LP, scheduled for a May 2012 release.

Can’t wait that long for some soul-warming sunshine? Have no fear. The band is giving away pieces of their melodic “folk-tinged rock n’roll” with San Francisco; a live recording of a recent session with Blue Microphones. The live recording will also appear on a 7-inch vinyl, available for purchase.
