Decibel Festival 2012 Preview: Salva

Salva is an unstoppable fiend when it comes to remixes. Whether he’s taking on Kanye West, Shlohmo, or RL Grime, his production is a flawless exercise in building tension and landing that perfectly dropped bass. The L.A.-based beatmaker’s original material definitely stands up on its own too, with Complex Housing being among the most finely crafted electronic albums of last year. But Salva’s appearance at Decibel is all about curating a finale set to remember, and having witnessed one of his recent DJ endeavors live, I fully endorse his ability to whip the dance floor into a frenzy with a trap-heavy mix.
