Crime and the City Solution have successfully completed their crowd-source funding campaign to go on a new world tour. They will embark on the extensive tour in late 2012 and 2013.

The Australian post-punk band originally formed in 1977, among other dark contemporaries such as The Birthday Party, Swell Maps and later Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. They released a handful of albums from their inception through the early 1990′s when they disbanded. Their influence has been cited as a vital – if not the most popular or well-known – source of inspiration for bands since their break up.

They raised 105% of their target goal for funds – and thus, they plan to perform live across North America, Europe and more. Crime and the City Solution recorded their first album in twenty years in Detroit earlier this year; American Twilight will come out thanks to Mute Records before the year is through.
