SSG Music’s Semi-Acoustic Fest 10/20 + City Arts Fest Lineup Additions Just AnnouncedPosted by Lindsey Scully
SSG Music is grateful and honored to announce our very own City Arts Fest showcase, more affectionately known as SSG Music’s Semi-Acoustic Fest on October 20. Our showcase will feature some of our favorite Seattle bands playing City Arts Fest including Lemolo, Ravenna Woods, Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band, and Motopony.
Our vision for the show is to get a juicy one of a kind experience, be it an acoustic variation of the artist’s typical set, a debut collaboration or something unpredictable. We’re letting the bands decide how they want to present, but we promise you’re not going to want to miss this.
The show starts at 5:00pm and will last for approximately two hours. It’s a free show, but space is LIMITED. If you want to get in on this, be there early.
The annual Heineken City Arts Fest has just announced more to their already stellar lineup, which kicks off October 17-20 throughout Seattle. The just-announced acts include:
Mos Def (aka Yasiin Bey) with special guests The Physics
Larry Hawkins (formerly SK)
Devotchka with the Seattle Rock Orchestra
Point Juncture, WA
The Soft Hills
Reignwolf at the Laser Dome
The Good Sin
The Dusty 45s
Vince Mira Band
There will also be a Crybaby Studios Showcase featuring The Tempers, Eighteen Individual Eyes, Murals and Rose Windows. Abbey Arts is also teaming up with City Arts Fest to present Jonathon Russel (The Head & The Heart) with guests at the All Pilgrims Church benefiting the Fremont Abbey. SIFF Uptown Cinema will be hosting the screening of the Elliot Smith documentary Searching For Elliot Smith on October 20. Local artists will be performing Smith songs as part of the tribute.
