For those that are familiar with the Seattle DIY music scene, you’ve more than likely heard the name Levi Fuller before. He orchestrates that quarterly compilation of local up-and-coming artists, Ball of Wax (Editor in Chief of the blog as well), is one of the founders and curators for the annual avante-garde rock/noise festival, Cumulus Festival, is a Hollow Earth Radio DJ, and helps out many traveling DIY artists set up Seattle shows. Oh, btw, (full disclosure) he’s also my head copy-editor.

Assuming that I was going to hate his music simply because he can’t be a perfect human being, I was pleasantly surprised by one of his original songs that I heard entitled “Seaplanes” at one of his Tractor Tavern shows that he forced me to go to on penalty of his upset.  He has some thoughtful composition and delicate layering here. This isn’t one of those songs that makes the listener consider life and their place in it, but it is just soothing enough to give one pause for thought. Whatever you’re up to, take a minute to be serenaded by Levi Fuller today.
