While Youth Lagoon held court at the Capitol Hill Block Party main stage, Fly Moon Royalty was having their own private dance party over at the Vera stage.

A medium sized crowd bobbed and grooved to the electro-soul stylings of singer AdraBoo and producer/MC Action Jackson. From the thick and futuristic synths of “Android Love” to the creeping keyboard lines of “In the Woods” to the funk-influenced “Betty’s Kitchen,” the duo’s kinetic musical energy was undeniable.

Near the end of Fly Moon Royalty’s set, the crowd had practically doubled in size — a testament to the power of converting new listeners in a festival setting.
