Blur’s Graham Coxon Escapes Hotel Fire

Blur‘s Graham Coxon had to be evacuated from his hotel today (April 30) after the building caught fire and the roof collapsed.
A fire ripped through the Falmouth Beach Hotel today with staff and guests evacuated as the fire department battled the blaze. There are no reports of any injuries though the roof of the hotel has collapsed.
The Blur guitarist, currently on a solo UK tour, was staying in the hotel before his live show at the Princess Pavilions later this evening. Coxon said, via Twitter: “We have rooms at the beach hotel and had to leave when the smell of smoke for a little much.” Adding, “We watched it… We had to leave the foyer and then watch it get worse and worse..rather sad.” Coxon also posted a picture of the fire.
A statement issued by Best Western, who run the Hotel, stated: “All guests have been evacuated and the emergency services are battling to get the blaze under control.”
