Black Tambourine Reconcile to Release New Album
Posted by Danielle Campoamor
It’s official: the ’90s are back. After breaking up in early 1991, the Maryland-native pop band, Black Tambourine, has reunited with the creation their first record in over a decade. The soon-to-be-released EP, OneTwoThreeFour, is a solid selection of Ramone covers; proving the Ramones capable of transcending time, musical genre, and feuding-band buddies.
Evoking an unfair amount of nostalgia, Black Tambourine has leaked a “bliss, fuzzed-out take” on “What’s Your Game”; originally released on the Ramones’ sophomore album Leave Home. A downloadable, music-fueled journey back-in-time, can be found below.
Adding voice and verve to the project, by way of backup vocals, are members of the Softies, Tiger Trap, Honeymoon, and Dum Dum Girls’ lead vocalist Dee Dee. In the name of collaboration and conciliation, BT has successfully dipped their indie-pop sound in a vat of 70s style and attitude.
So make sure to stop by your local record store on May 15th, 2012, and pick up a decade-overdue album, that is sure to tantalize your old school earbuds.
