Best Coast Drummer Ali Koehler Calls It Quits

Best Coast has lost its drummer Ali Koehler, as reported in a sudden Twitter statement issued on December 7.  No details on why Koehler left the band, but her Tweets hinted that it wasn’t up to her.  While Best Coast’s remaining members Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno continue recording their follow up to 2010′s Crazy For You, Koehler’s music career will endure in the form of her solo work.

Best Coast made several visits to the Pacific Northwest in 2011 including spots at Sasquatch and the Capitol Hill Block Party.
