Tonight’s show at the Sunset Tavern is one that doesn’t need an introduction. You know that band The Head and the Heart? Jonathan Russell, the frontman for many songs including “Down in the Valley”, will be doing a solo show at the Sunset Tavern, a room so intimate it should be called “Members Only.” Russell will likely test some ideas he’s been working on, and he might even pull some friends up to play a few songs we already know. There are no advance tickets, so it can’t sell out in 15 seconds. Those who hope to get in will need to get their early.
Also on the bill is the much adored Daniel Blue of Motopony. Blue can get a little crazy in the eyes when he’s in character, but he’s a contender for one of the best voices in Seattle. Watch him sing “Hallelujah” with Hannalee below:
We’ll also get to see some talent from Shim and Whitney Ballen and The Intimates.
Special thanks to The Sunset Tavern for hosting such great one-off shows.
