This dude can tear your head off. The surfing, biking, karate-chopping Graham Elwood is in peak physical and comedic shape. He’ll bring his kinetic humor and stage presence to Seattle for this week’s Laff Hole experience. Half-host of the Comedy Film Nerds Podcast with Chris Mancini, Elwood has toured the United States many times over with Benson Interruption host Doug Benson. They appeared together last year at the Parlor Live in Bellevue and taped an episode of Benson’s Doug Loves Movies podcast.

Beyond his various US appearances with Benson and and his podcast, Graham Elwood has the distinction of having gone and returned to Afghanistan and Iraq to perform for the troops. The Afghanistan shows made up the footage for two movies– the stand-up concert DVD Graham Elwood: Live from Afghanistan, and the documentary film Laffghanistan: Comedy Down Range in which we get to watch him freak out as the realization hits him that he is performing in one of the most dangerous places in the world. Think Restrepo for the comedy nerd set.

For a glimpse at Elwood at his funniest, most charming, and most eloquent, I suggest checking out his apperance on episode 83 of the Comedy and Everything Else podcast. One gets a good feel for his comedy, his politics, and his point of view by listening to this one episode.
